Lakes Center is Now Offering OCD/ERP Online Support Groups! 

In addition to ERP therapy, we are now also offering an online ERP Support Group, where you will learn from our leaders and other members who struggle with the same symptoms.  We will share knowledge and together we will build a network for change and growth!

What is ERP?

Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) Treatment Program provides treatment for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD); OCD-related disorders such as Hoarding, Trichotillomania, Excoriation (skin picking) and Tics; as well as PTSD, Panic Disorders and other Anxiety Disorders.

 

ERP is an evidence-based treatment which can improve symptoms significantly under the guidance of an ERP trained therapist. It is a structured program which allows you to continue in your individual counseling.

 

Why is ERP so Successful in Treating these Disorders?

All of these disorders have one thing in common, they can take control over one’s thoughts and actions. Using the ERP skill set can help the patient quickly learn to break out of the toxic cycle.

 

It works the same for PTSD. Anyone who has been through trauma knows it is difficult to control how one reacts to the triggers for that trauma. ERP allow patients to choose to acknowledge the trigger and move on.

 

Who is this Group for?

This group will be open to people who have OCD, PTSD, Hoarding, Trichotillomania, Excoriation and Tics. We will discuss how ERP works to treat these as well as Generalized Anxiety and Panic Disorders. Since ERP can be difficult to maintain, sharing similar experiences with each other, as well as learning from the leaders will help you stay on the course.
